You love your wedding photos! You want to memorialize them in a gorgeous, artisan photo book. That’s where we come in. We took the photos. We edited them. We know your wedding day story first hand. Who better to tell it? Here’s how we do it.
Kiss Books prints our photo books. Each photo book is handmade using high quality materials that will last generations. For us, your photo book should be a work of art inside and out that tells the story of your wedding day in beautiful photos that capture the essence of your wedding day story.
THE DESIGN PROCESS
The design process consists of two components: the internal and external design. The internal design refers to the layout of photos on each spread. The external design concerns the cover material, inside cover material, and options such as the cameo window, and engraving or debossing.
We start the design process by creating a first draft that consists of the number of spreads we think best tells your wedding day story and with the cover material you favored when reviewing the swatches on your wedding day. We also include text for an engraving or debossing that includes your names and wedding date. When the first draft’s done, we send it to you to view via Kiss Books’ online photo book viewer.
While viewing the draft, you can request edits various types of edits, from including more spreads, changing the cover color and lettering font and content to rearranging photos, and requesting replacement photo, among others. Along with the first draft, we’ll send you a document with instructions and photos showing you how to request edits. We repeat this process until we’ve designed your perfect photo book.
Choosing Your Options
Now it’s time to choose the options. In addition to the cover material types and colors, cameo, and engraving or debossing options, and font types and colors, you get to choose the dimensions of your photo book, between luster and matte paper, thin or thick paper, and gorgeous handmade linen and wood presentation boxes. Our Photo Books Information & Options page has all the standard and additional options for our photo books.
The Ordering Process
You’ve approved the final design and chosen your photo book options. All that’s is ordering it. At this point, we’ll send you an invoice for your approval. When you approve it, we’ll send you a draft contract to review to make sure your personal information and shipping address is correct, and that you approve the design of each spread and the photo book options. As soon as we hear all’s in order, we’ll send the contract for your electronic signature via Adobe Sign, as well as the link and instructions to make payment. Once payment clears, we send your photo book to Kiss Books for printing. Once your photo book is submitted for printing, no further changes can be made and the order cannot be cancelled (this is Kiss Books’ policy).
Design, Printing, & Delivery Time Frames
The design process generally takes between 2-4 weeks. It depends on how many revisions you request, how quickly you make them upon receiving a draft, and our workload. Kiss Books normally takes around 3-4 weeks to print, produce, and inspect your photo book. This process takes longer during the holiday season. Shipping time varies based on the shipping method you choose and the final destination. Shipping times are longer for international destinations.
