Our Engagement & Wedding Photography Equipment

Our wedding photography and photo-editing equipment.

Having good photography equipment is just part of the equation.  It does not necessarily make or break a great wedding photographer.  A great wedding photographer can take great photos without the best equipment.  What is a must, however, is having the right equipment for the job at hand and ensuring that it can weather the environment and the demands of a busy, professional photographer.  If your photographer is charging you as if there were a pro, their equipment should reflect their prices.  Here’s the list of our most current equipment as of August 2019.

We rely on Canon 5D camera bodies as they are weather sealed, have a full-frame sensor, and have dual card slots allowing us to have a backup of your photos in camera (what’s written to one memory card is automatically written to the other one).

· (2) Canon 5D IV Camera Bodies

We use only Canon’s L series professional lenses as they are weather sealed, and offer the best saturation, contrast, and sharpness among Canon’s lenses, as well as among third-party providers.

· Canon EF 24mm f/1.4L II USM Lens

· Canon EF 35mm f/1.4L USM Lens

· Canon EF 100mm f/2.8L MACRO IS USM Lens

· Canon EF 100mm f/2.8L MACRO IS USM Lens

· Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L USM IS Lens

We rely on Canon and Elinchrom flash units, and Magmod and Elinchrom reflectors and flash modifiers for professional studio lighting on location.

· Canon 600EX-RT Speedlights

· Canon ST-E3-RT Speedlight Transmitters

· Elinchrom Ranger Quadra Flash Kits

· Elinchrom Ranger Quadra Hybrid Flash Kits

· Elinchrom EL-Skyport Transmitters Pro

· Elinchrom Rotalux Reflectors

· MagMod Flash Modifier Kits

· Matthews 7′ Reversible Light Stands

Our custom-made, water-cooled workstations with high-end graphics cards and SSD drives are designed to meet our unique demands as a professional wedding photography studio.

In order to reduce the possibility of viruses, hacking, and power surges via LAN cables, our workstations, data server, and external storage solutions are connected via a hermetic intranet.  Our external HDD enclosures are populated with 2 and 3 TB enterprise-class HDDs made by Hitachi and Western Digital.  Our data server is also equipped with 2 2TB Hitachi server drives as an intermediary backup between our workstations and external storage solutions, allowing us to have 6 levels of data storage backups.

· Blue Jeans Certified LAN Cables

· Cisco SG100D-05 Gigabit Desktop Switch

· Icy Dock 2-Bay External HDD Enclosure

· Icy Dock 4-Bay External HDD Enclosure

· G-Tech 2-Bay External RAID HDD · Enclosure

· Raidon 2-Bay External RAID HDD Enclosure

Our workstations, data server, monitors, and external storage solutions are all protected by a series of surge protectors, power filters, and an uninterrupted power supply made by APC to avoid data loss, corruption, and hardware loss.

· APC BRG 700G UPS Surge Protector

· APC G50NETB2 Filter & Surge Protector

· APC Surge Protector Power Strips

We rely on the latest versions of:

· Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Classic

· Adobe Photoshop Lightroom CC

These are some of our most used and necessary photography and photo editing cases that help us protect and transport our gear, calibrate our monitors, capture photos, and power our flashes.

· Pelican 1600 Hard Cases

· MindShift FirstLight 30L Camera Backpacks

· X-Rite i1Display Pro Monitor Calibrator

· Satchler Light Stand Cases
